Grown at Hutchinson Farm since
2007. Limited cultivars available May 2022, in
4½" pots, combination planters and hanging
baskets.
Description
Winter Hardiness: Annual
Light Requirements: Full sun - part sun
Where to plant: Containers or Beds
Lanai Verbena is just the best verbena on the
market. This series has a wide colour range with
large blooms that cover the plant in an array of
colour. Some varieties have a beautiful delicate
bouquet. The standard verbena is a spreading
plant, but there are also upright varieties.
Growing
Guide
Performs well in mixed containers, hanging
baskets or beds. Heat tolerant, but avoid drying
out. The Lanai series has excellent resistance to
powdery mildew. No maintenance is necessary.
Fertilize with any all purpose,
compost, etc.
Trailing Varieties: Many
varieties not available 2021 due to supplier
"issues" (aka, they froze in their shipping
container that was snowed in during transport
after propagation in the sunny south. Apparently
FedEx doesn't think shipping life plant material
in heated containers is necessary).
