Australian Blue pumpkins may be rare here, but in the land down under blue pumpkins are far more common than orange ones. They have thick, bright orange flesh, and have a long shelf life. Jarrahdale is a small town in Western Australia -not even close to Queensland!

Culinary: Possibly extremely tasty. Last year "Grey Ghost", a kabocha type squash had outstanding flavour, in fact it won our taste test. However we must confess that at the time of the taste test, we thought we were eating Jarrahdale with which has the same grey colour rind. We should get it right this year, stay tuned.
